As we approach #WorldHealthDay 2026, we reflect on key lessons from the Solutions for Supporting Healthy Adolescents and Rights Protection (SHARP) Project. Advancing adolescent health requires three critical pillars: 📊 Evidence – Generating and using data to highlight gaps in adolescent health services and strengthen advocacy for responsive policies and programs. 🤝 Accountability – Strengthening social accountability so that commitments by governments and institutions translate into improved access to adolescent-friendly health services. 🗣 Adolescent Voices – Ensuring young people are meaningfully engaged in decision-making spaces that shape policies, programs and solutions affecting their health and rights. When evidence informs action, accountability drives progress and adolescents lead the conversation, we move closer to a future where every young person can access the health services and support they need to thrive. #HealthyAdolescents

Through sustained engagement, dialogue, and evidence-driven advocacy, @ProjectSHARP continues to expand its reach, ensuring that adolescent voices are not only heard but actively shape policies and programs. It is inspiring to hear Abdiaziz Boru, SHARP Champion from Marsabit County reflect on the growing influence of youth advocates whose efforts are helping bridge the gap between community realities and policy priorities, driving meaningful change where it matters most. By working closely with policymakers, stakeholders, and communities, SHARP is advancing adolescent-responsive SRHR and GBV interventions that are inclusive, rights-based, and impactful

@Macsa2025 was today represented by the Spokesperson @HalimaHuzain & Programs Coordinator @ElchapooM during the @IEBCKenya Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration exercise. We urge all youth groups to actively take part in ongoing voter registration and civic education.

Today I had the privilege of spending time with bright, ambitious students from Imam Shafihi Intergrated Academy, Al Manar Academy, Mandera Secondary School and Mandera teachers training college through mentorship and I am honestly inspired. There is something powerful about creating space for young minds to ask questions, share ideas and see possibilities beyond their current environment. The future is in good hands if we keep guiding, supporting and believing in them. Leadership is not just about positions, it is about impact and today was a reminder that even small conversations can shape big dreams.
