As a Muslim, I find it strange how ‘annihilate Hinduism’ is packaged as academic discussion. Try flipping the religion and see how fast the global response comes. If annihilation of a religion becomes acceptable language, we’ve already failed the idea of coexistence.

Just yesterday, Mamata Banerjee in Bhangar said that bomb-maker Soikat Molla is her favourite candidate. And today, two buckets of bombs were recovered from a TMC worker’s house in Bhangar. This TMC worker will be Mamata’s candidate in the 2031 Assembly election.

The rot is deep and real. For decades, Hindus have been systematically brainwashed to feel that bindi, tilak, kalawa, sindoor and our rituals are backward, low class, and uncool. And abandoning them is modern and elite. This didn't happen overnight. It's a mix of media narratives, social pressure, and our own silence since decades. The eyewear retailer or Nashik cases are just the tip of the iceberg. Eyewear retailer's leaked guidelines banned tilak, bindi, and kalawa while openly allowing black hij@bs. Nashik case is far worse. Staff allegedly ran a coercion network, forcing Hindu employees to offer n@maz and eat bee-f, slowly erasing their faith. The message is loud i.e, Hindu symbols are unwelcome in your own land. That's a clear double standard mocking our identity. And when we quietly accept it, we develop an internalized inferiority. Many of us now self-censor just to fit in. That's how cultures fade and not by force, but by slow abandonment. Call it a loss of cultural confidence. If this continues, the next generation won't even question it. They will inherit the rot. But we can reverse it. Not with noise, but with steady, deliberate action starting with our children. Here is a simple Playbook: ➥ Own your symbols first: If someone calls a Bindi or Tilak or Kalawa or Sindoor backward. Don't argue. Wear it with confidence. The shame is theirs. Normalize it at home, work, and social events or wherever you go. Kids will follow. ➥ Teach your kids early: Explain that a tilak isn't just a dot; it's spiritual awareness, a mark of our timeless civilization. There's science behind it; documented in vedic practices. Let them lead a small puja or tell a festival story. Connection starts with understanding. ➥ Challenge double standards immediately: If workplace bans kalawa or bidi or sindoor or tialk but allows other symbols ? Ask in writing, 'Why is my identity being selectively erased?' Document everything. Atleast record and document ptoofs. That paper trail is your weapon. ➥ Build your own community networks: The Nashik case proved internal systems fail. Create a private group of trusted friends to verify incidents and escalate when official channels are compromised. ➥ Reject the 'cool' trap: Ditching your culture doesn't make you progressive. Westerners wear crosses and Stars of David proudly. Why can't we? Real confidence comes from knowing your roots, not running from them. ➥ Stop chasing validation: If you need approval to express your identity, you have already lost ground. This is a long war. The brainwashing took decades; the cure will take just as long. But if we don't start today, we lose our identity within this generation. Teach your kids. Wear your symbols with pride. Call out bias. Our 10000+ year civilization didn't survive by accident. Fight back with confidence, clarity, and an unshakable paper trail. A civilization doesn't disappear when attacked.
