I know for sure once I make it and take myself to the next level, I’ll never gatekeep or act in selfish ways. I love helping people and sharing my wisdom and I hope I can make people feel welcomed and comfortable in this space #ugccommunity

The most overused term on this app is “personal branding.” let me save everyone (and their moms) the $497 course: your personal brand = 2-3 things you actually care about + what you want to be known for, that you can talk about without a script. That’s the whole strategy. Screenshot this. Save yourself the course. #personalbrand #ugcommunity

@ugcwithmargo I get this. I struggle to connect with people just in general cause there’s always weird competition. I would honestly connect with you if you were in Toronto! I think you’re in HK right now 🥺?

ngl it's rare to find people who bring their own energy into a room without trying to compete with yours. this whole content creator thing felt really lonely at first as I was mostly posting in silence and barely talking to anyone about it. but then I started doing lock-in work sessions with a few friends who also create, and suddenly the whole process felt lighter. not easier tho, but at least just less isolating; and this shift changed A LOT for me. #ugc #ugccreator #ugccommunity

Reminder for anyone in the early days of UGC: The first 3 months are the hardest. The pitching feels like shouting into a void. The rates feel embarrassing. The rejections pile up. Then something clicks. A brand says yes. Then another. Then you start getting inbound. I was there. Every full-time creator you follow was there. Keep going. The pivot happens faster than you think.

After all the responses to my post about Mean Girls in UGC, I know I’m not alone. I wish these mentors knew who was coming out of the woodwork to basically say, “Yes, I’ve been personally victimized by Regina George.” Some very notable and successful people in the space have agreed. It reminds me why I started my SKOOL community: Valor Creatives. I’m now OPENING my SKOOL to ANYONE, Christian, or not, who wants a SAFE space with no Mean Girl Energy. It started out for Christians, but all are welcome and I will make sure it stays a place of positive, loving, supportive & educational culture—at no cost. And no, I won’t sell you a course inside it (unless you ask me to). It’s sales-free at the moment. Because I care so much about exposing this toxic behavior, I want everyone to know I offer a FREE Intro to UGC course inside my SKOOL. There’s no catch. It won’t turn you into a lead that goes into a sales funnel. Promise. So if you’ve been wanting a blueprint to start your UGC or need help figuring out how to go full time, try mine out before buying someone’s course. Because mentors who only accept & interact with you as long as you’re a paying member? Isn’t cool—I’ve experienced it firsthand. I care more about community than turning people into a dollar sign. So if you’re new in UGC, don’t buy a course. Take what I’ve created. It’s free—my gift to you to put something good into this space after the worst I’ve felt in a long time this week. I hope it blesses you. Join below: skool.com/valor-creative…

Here’s what I think is actually needed in the UGC space: Leaders. Real leaders. Not just people who know how to go viral, sell courses, build audiences, or make money online. I mean people willing to set a moral tone for the communities they create and profit from. Because right now, a lot of creators are silently struggling in spaces where there are no real standards for how people should treat each other behind the scenes. No expectations around humility, gossip, emotional maturity, mentorship ethics, or accountability. And when there’s a vacuum like that, ego fills it fast. That’s why so many creators feel anxious, isolated, intimidated, socially disposable, or afraid to speak honestly. Everyone is trying to protect opportunities, avoid burning bridges, stay in the good graces of the “big names,” and survive socially in an industry where influence can feel tied to belonging. And the sad part is, I think an incredible education is being left on the table because of it. There are brilliant people in this space. Talented people. Creative people. People with real business knowledge. But so much of the environment starts to feel emotionally unsafe once status, ego, cliques, gossip, and power dynamics enter the picture unchecked. I don’t think most creators are asking for perfection. I think they want communities where the expectations are clear from the beginning: Treat people with dignity. Don’t humiliate people in the name of “tough coaching.” Don’t gossip about creators behind closed doors. Don’t weaponize influence. Don’t create environments where people are afraid to give honest feedback. And honestly, I think communities centered around selling access, courses, subscriptions, and proximity to experts can unintentionally create unhealthy dynamics if there isn’t strong character and accountability underneath it all. When someone becomes both the authority figure and the gatekeeper to opportunity, people stop feeling safe to speak honestly. That’s why I believe the UGC space desperately needs communities built around stronger values instead of personality cults. Not communities built on fear of exclusion. Not communities where everyone quietly whispers the truth in private DMs but stays silent publicly to protect connections. Not communities where people feel emotionally punished for disappointing the “bigwigs.” This industry changed my life financially, creatively, and professionally. That’s why this matters to me so much. It’s heartbreaking to realize that such an empowering career path can also start feeling as emotionally exhausting and image-driven as industries like modeling or entertainment once enough ego gets involved. I believe something healthy and beautiful can exist here. But it won’t happen accidentally. The culture has to be intentionally built that way from the beginning. I hope others will catch this vision with me.

@TSnipingDeals First dude to call it out. I respect that. Now idk how it is between male creators but you can fkn tellll as a woman that people will ‘root’ for you but when you climb up just a bit, they turn sour. I’m not there yet but I just witness shit from the sidelines

Unfortunately, I have lost all my trust in the UGC community, and I will no longer be prioritizing friendship in this space. I do not know who I can trust anymore.

I’m reading atomic habits right now and the author says goals are good for setting a direction, but systems are best for making progress. problems arise when you spend too much time thinking about your goals and not enough time designing your systems 🗣️ okayy

Here’s a great example of personal brand content for ugc creators. If you’re a ugc creator pls talk about life outside of ugc. The ugc space is growing everyday and if your are not bringing your uniqueness to the table every single day you will be left out of this next wave. Don’t say I didn’t tell ya. Go follow @MrsNewtonMedia and check out the rest of her video!

@Kissmy_Ashleeyy Girl !! I’d tell you to look up Liam P (linkedin) and also look up the domain…maybe search around TikTok to see if this exists? Maybe someone on TikTok has shared this POTENTIAL scam?

Another regret I never realized I’ll have. I don’t want UGC in my name. I can change it on Twitter…but I’ll have to look at other things such as canva, etc 😭😭😭 People were righttttt. Sometimes you might not wanna have UGC in your name #UGC

@heyimaliced I’m happy I clarified things! No honestly I just dipped my toes into UGC and I’m starting to reroute. It’s something that seems exhausting to do for a long time. I think personal branding is more vague and u can take any direction you like - which is my goal in content creation
