For ME: All voiceovers get recorded as a talking head. It helps me every time. My inflection, my tone, my pacing all improve when I talk to the camera—even if I’m planning on doing just a VO. The process levels up the performance. Try that and see if it helps.

@creatordamon mentioned that he records all of his voiceovers as talking heads. I wish all creators did this! If b-roll is lacking, it’s always good to have the option of going back to the talking head. We do raw collabs (to create one video) and sometimes creators send voice files and b-roll clips. But if the b roll clip is wrong or simply not long enough to match the voiceover line. We have to ask them to send more b roll clips. If we had the talking head file, we wouldn’t need to bother you asking for more clips.
