@Bicycle_Kix @IanDay9 Good for you! I am, again, *not opposed to fucking speedbumps*. But you don't have a crystal ball that magically understands everyone's exact situation. Understanding possible unintended side effects of a policy solution is *good*. It allows for workarounds and elaborations!

@IanDay9 @ltwhitew @NevoMagnezi @keenan_bike @CMWhitburnD3 @SeanEloRiveraD9 @CMRaulCampillo @BikeSD @SDSafeStreets @CirculateSD @sdbikecoalition I am not opposed to speed bumps. But you can't make good policy unless you understand its ramifications. So when someone tells you that there's an unintended side effect, your response can't just be, "drive slower."

@IanDay9 @ltwhitew @NevoMagnezi @keenan_bike @CMWhitburnD3 @SeanEloRiveraD9 @CMRaulCampillo @BikeSD @SDSafeStreets @CirculateSD @sdbikecoalition Please read what I wrote.

@ltwhitew @NevoMagnezi @keenan_bike @CMWhitburnD3 @SeanEloRiveraD9 @CMRaulCampillo @BikeSD @SDSafeStreets @CirculateSD @sdbikecoalition I'm not inherently opposed to speed bumps, but there are a lot of people replying to you who are *so sure* that a speed bump taken at 5 mph could never exacerbate a back or neck problem, and like. That is simply untrue.
English

@NevoMagnezi @keenan_bike @CMWhitburnD3 @SeanEloRiveraD9 @CMRaulCampillo @BikeSD @SDSafeStreets @CirculateSD @sdbikecoalition I find these make me concentrate too much on the raised area which means I’m NOT looking for pedestrians. They are also extremely cruel to passengers with back or neck issues.

@clairewillett The gold velour uniforms were actually green, they just ended up looking gold on screen! Command's color was supposed to be green!
English

@Kurodou3 @RottenInDenmark Yeah, I suspect that if you did a breakdown of the numbers, most men who female protagonists are interested in would also be interested in return, for the same reason. But when women so much more rarely *are* the protagonists, especially outside of romance, it becomes obtrusive.
English

@RottenInDenmark I get that from a story mechanics perspective; realistic attractions are often subplots that don't go anywhere, and movies are desperate to be efficient. But it does add up a picture of rejection as this high stakes existential tragedy.

@rainydayjules You can just buy the stickers! I've year they didn't give me one and I used an old TCFC prop sticker

@MarkMcKillen @BrandyLJensen No, because that's how you make sure people can find you on the new platform?
English

@BrandyLJensen Has anyone joined Mastodon without announcing it to Twitter, the platform they supposedly hate?

WESTERN PA 🆘 Hundreds of mail-in ballots have been reported as incorrectly dated. If you submitted a mail-in ballot in Allegheny County, please make sure your name isn’t on this list. Having the wrong or no date means your ballot won’t count. alleghenycounty.us/elections/inco…

@jennifercarolyn I'm gonna be honest, I'm mostly just rooting for him to lose so much money.
I'm not making a Mastodon account, but I'd also have no problem giving up Twitter if it became unusable/rarely used

@bendermegenders @dr_i_rohl @autogyniphiles Also, the holographic lounge lizard was super annoying, which complicates any evaluation of the moral implications.
