Exactly, and that seems to be the technique that Democrat candidates are using to get themselves elected into local and national positions all over the country. Their modus operandi now is to hide who they really are, pretend to be "moderate" while campaigning, then immediately upon being installed into office, start to govern as a far-left "progressive" (I always air quote "progressive" because the policies are actually quite regressive, in reality). I'm a former Democrat who will likely never vote Democrat again, because I have no trust that any Democrat candidate will actually govern as a moderate anymore.
