I've never written a book in a month, be it NaNo or any other month, but I did pump out ~50K once during NaNo, which was fun. That said, if anything, this year I might use NaNo to resolve to finish the first draft of the novel I'm writing for my daughter. THAT would be cool!

Pssst. NaNoWriMo is supposed to be fun. If it’s not fun for you, don’t do it. If it gives you anxiety and extra stress, skip it. Fast drafting isn’t for everyone- personally I can’t do it. You’re not a failure if you can’t do Nano! It’s just one path 🙂

It’s wild to me that five years ago now I was just existing as someone who loved writing with no idea a community like this existed, until I joined Twitter and accidentally stumbled upon other writers. This place has changed my life in so many ways, and I’m so thankful.
