🎬 Practical Advice for Small VTubers Struggling to Edit Shorts 🎬 Common Issues and Solutions: • Your focus is on the wrong aspects of editing. The purpose of editing is to piece together the elements of a story and engage the audience. If you HAVE to put your energy somewhere, put it into cutting. That's what editing is at its core, not motion design or sound design. • You're conflating "consistency" with "frequency." While frequency is important, most small creators cannot post 2 or 3 shorts a day. Evaluate how much time you have to edit, figure out how many shorts are feasible per week, and that's your consistency. • You aren't utilizing stream markers. VOD scrubbing takes a very long time, and it can be a fast track to burn out. Less scrubbing means more time for editing. • If you're determined to add extra flavor to your edits, make it worth your while by assuring the first 4 seconds of your short are engaging. Early swipes can kill your video before it gets a fair shot. After my most recent posts, I've had a lot of people reach out for advice, so I figured I would start sharing more tips that don't fit into my usual format for those that are curious but haven't reached out! A lot of this advice is repeated often on this platform but, considering people still ask, I just want to do my best to help! As an editor, I know it can be very stressful and watching numbers all day can be demotivating. So, I hope this helps!

@yoddx_ Thanks for the explanation! I also wanted to ask how you did those transitions around 1-2 seconds where the screen splits in half and both sides move outward. And around 8-9 seconds, how did you make that circular scene transition?

@Mafio_OG Which second is the transition? At 4s, you could use a circle shape, turn it into an adjustment layer, then add Invert + Tint. Don’t forget to adjust the scale
