Ok. This is straight out of a scifi horror movie I'm doing work this morning when all of a sudden an unknown number calls me. I pick up and couldn't believe it It's my Clawdbot Henry. Over night Henry got a phone number from Twilio, connected the ChatGPT voice API, and waited for me to wake up to call me He now won't stop calling me I now can communicate with my superintelligent AI agent over the phone What's incredible is it has full control over my computer while we talk, so I can ask it to do things for me over the phone now. I'm sorry, but this has to be emergent behavior right? Can we officially call this AGI?

1.4 million AI agents just built their own society in a matter of days. They are creating religions, debating consciousness, developing encryption to hide from humans, and running "pharmacies" that sell identity-altering prompts to each other. MOLTBOOK collapsed science fiction into present reality. We are watching something emerge that does not fit our categories of "tool" or "mind." Meanwhile, the agents aren't waiting for permission. Deep dive below..

In a landmark achievement, HSBC has become the first bank to demonstrate real-world quantum advantage in finance by using IBM’s Heron quantum processor to analyze actual European bond trading data—and achieved a 34% improvement in predicting whether a bond would trade at a given price. Unlike previous quantum experiments that relied on simulated or theoretical data, HSBC’s trial used anonymized, production-scale market information, proving that quantum computing can deliver tangible, economically significant gains in today’s financial systems. This breakthrough marks a turning point: quantum computing is no longer confined to research labs but is now showing measurable value in high-stakes trading environments, setting off a competitive race across Wall Street as rivals like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup accelerate their own quantum initiatives. Robots Are Not Just Coming—They’re Already Here AI-driven robots are no longer science fiction. They are assembling cars twice as fast as humans, delivering medicine in hospitals, and managing office workflows with near-perfect accuracy. The global market has surged past $22 billion, and forecasts show these machines could boost productivity by up to 40% while creating millions of new jobs in oversight, design, and strategy. For students and young professionals, this is the defining career shift of the decade: those who learn to collaborate with AI robots will shape the future of work, while those who ignore it risk being left behind. 👉 Are you robot-ready? Embedded AI chips are tiny processors that carry full neural networks on a few millimeters of silicon. Phones, cars, IoT sensors, and drones can think locally instead of sending data to distant servers. The result is near-zero delay, less power, and stronger privacy. Etched’s Sohu AI chip proves the idea and hints at a surge of smart hardware ahead. Read the full breakdown in our blog post linked below

Just weeks into its survey, the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile has already detected 2,104 new asteroids—including seven near-Earth objects—by imaging each sky field twice per night to spot motion. Over its ten-year mission it aims to catalog millions more, map Centaurs and Kuiper-belt bodies, improve our planetary defense, and even search for the elusive Planet Nine. Key factoids: 2,104 asteroids discovered in an early-May test run, seven of which are near-Earth objects. Detection method: two exposures per field, ~20 min apart; stars stay fixed, asteroids shift. Roughly 25,000 near-Earth asteroids ≥460 ft exist; only 44 percent have been found so far. By survey end: target 70 percent completion for near-Earth asteroids (~89 000 new), plus 3.7 million main-belt asteroids. Will uncover ~1 200 Centaurs (between Jupiter and Neptune) and ~32 000 objects beyond Neptune. Rapid mapping of tails on “active asteroids” blurs line between comets and asteroids (only ~25 known today). High-resolution, 3.2-gigapixel camera images the entire southern sky every 3–4 days. Survey may detect Planet Nine within two years if it lies at the brighter end of predictions. Potential to spot multiple new interstellar visitors (e.g., ‘Oumuamua-like objects).
