Throwback Tuesday: A Letter to Myself Mag, it hasn't been easy, has it? We've been through some really rough and crazy times, and lots of heartache...and backache, from the looks of this photo. But you know what? We've always given our best to the things we've set our heart on - no matter how trivial or tedious the task - and we've never given up. Because that's who we are, who we've always been. Passionate. Driven. Hardworking. Loyal and dedicated to the people we lead and follow. Hufflepuff for life, right? Started working young, before college even. Began as a runner backstage doing anything and everything, and worked our way up to a stage manager, still scrubbing fake blood off the floors on our hands and knees at 11pm with our crew, even though we didn't need to, because that's being part of a team, of a family. Working 14h days, 7d a week for over a decade, and in that same time, we earned a scholarship, graduated with a BA (Hons) in Technical Theatre, followed by an MSc in Creative Writing after years of saving up - and from the University of Edinburgh no less, situated in the UNESCO City of Literature. Gosh, that was expensive. Gosh, that degree was hard. Gosh, were we tired. Exhausted. Depleted. But hey, we pulled ourselves away from the verge of giving up and we made it. Mag, I know you and you know me. No one can take that girl from us. She might no longer be scrubbing floors, but she's still as passionate, driven, hardworking, loyal and dedicated as ever to leaving handprints on people's hearts. 🐬

F*** (🐟) around and find out! I've had enough of inflated metrics and straight-up lying in our space, so here’s some REAL data. Moonfrost generates a steady inflow of leads (potential players) from an organic content strategy. On a normal day, without a 'viral video' or any 'incentive' campaigns in play, we typically bring in 35–50 leads a day (as long as campaigns are active). Here’s a look at the top 3 sources of social media lead generation on April 2nd: X: 10 YouTube: 29 TikTok: 52 We ask users a simple question at signup... 'Where did you hear about us?' Then we follow up with an onboarding email campaign that includes a survey to help us learn more about these potential players. This helps us segment users and understand whether they’re traditional gamers or crypto native. Most of our users are coming from our web2 funnels. Organic content marketing works. It’s far more cost effective than running paid UA campaigns but only if you have a visionary on your team. A brand builder, not just an 'intern'. On good days, when a post blows up, we can see thousands of sign-ups in a single day all without spending a dollar. There will be a time when we flip the switch on paid UA ($), but most teams in this industry do it way too early imo. Your products aren’t ready yet. That's not an insult, it's the truth. You also can’t guarantee viral organic campaigns but you can build a content strategy that increases your odds. It’s all about more shots on goal... So, if you actually want to build or play games enhanced by blockchain, with a blend of traditional gamers and web3 enthusiasts hit follow and show some love on this post. I believe in web3. Mum turns 65 today. 30 years ago, she gave up her teaching career to stay home for me, and later on, my younger brother. Growing up, I remember how she was an avid reader and used to review books first before letting us read them. Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, Roald Dahl, J.K. Rowling... Mum was the first to introduce me to all of them and more. It's from her that I get my love of stories, and I wouldn't be half the writer I am today had she not also been my English teacher. Blessed Birthday, Mum! I love you! ❤️

Lookie what I chanced across today! Meet the red powder puff, otherwise known as Calliandra haematocephala. Its fluffy blooms might look like pom-poms, but they're actually made up of hundreds of tiny stamens that attract butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators.

But the sun was out today, and the two massive machine loads of laundry are finally dry, which means I'll get to watch an entire episode of The Wheel of Time while folding the clothes. That's a win for me. 🤗
