@JonFreier Then the real switcharoo came when in 1998-99 penny phones. Motorola 550 flip, star tacs, yall remember NEC phones? I didn’t mind the smallest flip in the world by pantech Ericsson made a nice slide but my all time favorite was the trendy Sidekick.

The first commercial cell phone call happened on this day 38 years ago... any guesses on how much this thing cost back in 1983 when it became available to consumers?
