Rumor has it that Uhuru Kenyatta was the preferred candidate in East Africa for the AUC. Despite him getting support from majority of AU heads of states, Ruto was against his candidacy & refused to submit his name. Uhuru being a very egocentric person, he decided to let it go. Raila Odinga was aware of all this, he wasn't even in the equation of the AUC, he was brought in by Ruto as a plan to get rid of him in the Nation politics. Unfortunately, betrayal and greed are his middle names. That was the last time Raila & Uhuru had a chat, they don't see eye to eye. The East Africa heads of states are aware of all this & them coming to Kenya for the unavailing of Raila's AUC candidacy was just for formality. At the ballot, I doubt if they'll vote for Raila unless he gets the blessings of Uhuru.
