🚨UFO skeptic Mick West (@MickWest) and national security analyst Marik von Rennenkampff (@MvonRen) debate some of the most famous UFO videos, including newly surfaced footage from Iraq. Mick insists they're camera illusions; Marik highlights experts who refute simple glitches. Will definitive proof soon emerge in the open, or is the real evidence forever sealed behind classified doors? As a moderator, I acknowledge my bias. I find the testimonies of Jake Barber, David Grusch, and others to be beyond reproach and internally consistent. However, for the average person, they may require significant leaps of logic to fully digest and understand. I hope this serves as a rational and Socratic onramp for those curious and interested in UFOs. 1. New “Iraq Gimbal” Video: A Marine’s thermal footage echoes classic “Gimbal” imagery, fueling debate on whether these shapes are optical artifacts or genuine craft. 2. Repeatable Patterns at Nuclear Sites: Both grapple with recurring claims of UAP near nukes—one sees consistent misreporting, the other a red flag demanding deeper study. 3. Top-Secret Explanations: From psyops to psionics, speculation abounds on covert advanced tech versus exotic phenomena—especially given new alleged “egg” retrieval videos. 4. AARO & Official Data: Both camps call for the Pentagon’s UFO office to release definitive sensor records to test rival theories and move beyond guesswork. 5. Whistleblower Stakes: Whether it’s David Grusch or anonymous Marines, the debate underscores how stigma and secrecy may throttle critical first-hand testimony. 6. Bottom-Line Consensus: Despite clashing takes, both agree: Only robust, publicly analyzed high-res data can resolve whether “impossible” UFOs are real—or illusions.

@Alien_Scientist 20 years of research and still no citations, publications, or credible recognition? Did the aliens abduct your proof too, or is it chilling with Bigfoot in a classified folder at area 51 in the same vault as the Roswell weather balloon?

A couple of examples of a Chinese lantern or similar dropping fire from the sky. That's why they are illegal in California, and also sometimes mistaken for fire-dripping UFOs

[🧵] Unfortunately, @abcnews did not properly vet this story before running it. Lue Elizondo was NOT the head of ANY official govt. program investigating UAP. He took AAWSAP’s nickname of AATIP and ran it out of office in an unofficial capacity from his position at the OUSDI.

Alien spaceship believers’ best evidence is the, decades old, tic tac event. The only evidence presented for that case are two different tales from Fravor and Dietrich(whose husband was a USG ghostbuster). Believers don’t need evidence. #ufotwitter

@MiddleOfMayhem @RepLuna @GOPoversight Steven, your take on Elizondo’s views is misleading. In Imminent, he explores multiple UAP theories, including interdimensional ones, but never as fact. His “psychic” work was tied to government research on remote viewing, not personal claims. Let’s keep it factual.

@RepLuna @GOPoversight In his book, Elizondo writes about how the "aliens" could be demi-angel-demons from another dimension. I wonder why he didn't give you that insight from his own book? Also, Elizondo claims he's a psychic with magical powers. Y'all seriously didn't ask him about that?!

Americans deserve transparency. On the @GOPoversight UAP hearing, we heard about unidentified vehicles that fly at thousands of Gs. It's time to uncover facts about extraterrestrial beings that our government has kept in the dark. We need answers! WATCH THE WITNESS' REVELATION:

@MiddleOfMayhem @nypost A “UFO religion” infiltrating the government? Bold claim, Steven, especially from the NYPOST—a paper with its own track record of bending reality for clicks. If anyone’s “bamboozling” for attention, maybe start by looking at your own publication’s sensationalist headlines.

@MiddleOfMayhem @RealStevenSlate So dismissive, Steven. You’ll dissect AAWSAP/ATIP semantics all day, but the moment credible whistleblower claims surface, it’s crickets or sarcasm. Seems like you’re more interested in spinning narratives than actual investigation.

@MiddleOfMayhem @Brian51154075 Ah, anonymous sources throwing shade again—classic NYPOST style. Funny how there’s no official evidence Stratton faced any discipline, just the usual unverified claims. If credibility mattered, you’d demand real proof instead of leaning on rumors for clicks, Steven.

A former DOD official, who worked with the task force and spoke to The Post on the condition of anonymity, said Stratton was “a complete nutjob” and that most of what the task force did was a “complete and utter waste of money.” The official claimed Stratton would talk about “the wolf man stalking his house” and other spooky stories stemming from Skinwalker Ranch. Shocked and fed up, the source and others protested about their “crazy” boss to Pentagon brass. “We had to go to leadership and tell them we’re done with his s–t,” the source said. nypost.com/2023/03/21/ufo…

Greenewald says "Stratton's briefings" but there's no date on the briefing he highlights. Curious what specifically identifies that one as a "Stratton briefing". Stratton was removed from the UAPTF in January 2021. Briefings after that would've been handled by new director Brennan McKernan. And "ignored" isn't completely accurate. The reporting says Stratton made investigating spooky UFOs a higher priority over investigating balloons. The reporting also says Stratton misidentified some balloons as "UFOs". Finally, reporting from multiple outlets says it was only after Stratton's departure in Jan 2021 that some of his "UFOs" were retroactively (and correctly) identified as Chinese spy balloons. Stratton was removed as director of the UAPTF after internal Pentagon complaints stating that he was a "crazy" "nutjob" who talked about "the wolfman in his backyard". @MiddleOfMayhem @NolandJim So, "return to the dark ages," Steven? Interesting stance from someone working for a paper that profits off sensationalism and conspiracy to drive clicks. The NYPOST knows a thing or two about stirring up "mysticism" when it’s good for business. Hypocrisy much?

@MiddleOfMayhem @hollywoodufos Funny hearing you call out "no evidence" when you work for the NYPOST—a paper that’s run sensational stories with zero backing, like when they implied Richard Jewell was the Atlanta bomber in ‘98. If evidence really mattered, maybe the Post wouldn’t have such a track record.

Although the UAP hearing testimony was uneven — Gallaudet and Elizondo were the standouts — the statements were amazing and challenging and deserve to be heard. Unfortunately, overall, it feels like no one's paying attention. Yet.

@MiddleOfMayhem @HepperSingular @DominikDoctor Oh, the irony. Talking about “presenting the truth” while working for the NYPOST—a paper that’s twisted facts for clicks, like their infamous “Bag Men” cover falsely accusing innocent people. Did Congresswoman Nancy Mace and journalist Michael Shellenberger misrepresent UFO "evidence" presented to Congress? At the "UFO hearing", Mace presented a document "from the Pentagon" that she says she got from Shellenberger. But several witnesses say that's not true. They instead claim: • UFO celebrity Jeremy Corbell pulled a document from his backpack • Corbell hands this dubious document, which has a cover letter written and signed by Corbell, to a "Congressional aide" • During the hearing, Mace presents the document WITHOUT Corbell's signed cover letter and says it's "from the Pentagon" and that she got it from journalist Michael Shellenberger - x.com/JeremyCorbell/… • Corbell, jilted, confronts Mace after the hearing, apparently seeking recognition x.com/DanCleary79/st… • Shellenberger tweets the document saying it came "from a whistleblower and released today by Nancy Mace". The tweet currently has over 2 million views. - x.com/shellenberger/… • UFO advocates tweet Corbell's missing cover letter - x.com/AlchemyAmerica… I can't even begin to count the number of red flags here. My @nypost report on Corbell and his bizarre influence in Congress: nypost.com/video/ridiculo…

@MiddleOfMayhem @RepMoskowitz Funny coming from someone who profits off sensational stories. If there’s no “fight club,” why is your NYPOST so invested in the drama—like their infamous 2013 “Bag Men” cover falsely implicating innocent people? Maybe look closer at who’s really pushing stories for clicks, Steve

Me getting tired of Marik posting the same thing repeatedly is not me "running out of responses", @shellenberger. I've answered Marik's points, usually several times. My original analysis pointing towards a glare is still valid, and that's hinted at by AAROs new report.
