Last year, 60% of all London properties sold were leasehold flats, but they made up 90% of all losses. Wake up! Total shambles! And now the Government is pushing for more control to push pension funds to invest more in UK assets like housing and infrastructure. The issue is we’ve already seen how leasehold and estate management models generate steady income for investors. Pension funds have invested in those types of assets before because they’re predictable and profitable. So it’s not a confirmed plan to fund fleecehold-style setups, but the risk is there.
