@theboyssocials I originally assumed that Soldier Boy was going to depower him and then he was going to take the V1. Now I'm assuming that the V1 replaced the V in his blood or something. Otherwise all he did was slow down his aging and boost his powers, but not even by a lot.

@theboyssocials The reason V1 makes him immune to the virus is because the virus targets Compound V, but not V1. If he still has regular Compound V in his system after taking the V1, then shouldn't he still be susceptible to the virus anyway? Even Soldier Boy with only V1 showed symptoms.

@Akumabat I like it too. The way I interpreted the laughter was sort of like for a moment youre waiting for Butcher to make some snarky comment and discourage Hughie, only for him to essentially react with "Im glad I found someone else who gets this much excitement from taking down Supes".

A top 4 is very difficult. There are some movies I'd love to include like The Substance and even the Terrifier trilogy. But I think these four are probably the ones that really stood out to me the most. I'm sure recency bias is a little applicable, but oh well.

@ItsJoshTyler Yup. I'm the same way, I really hate this trend of people treating stories like internet drama and needing to "pick a side" but this movie is really clear about what it's trying to say and what role each character fits into. There's a bad guy and a victim, it's very clear cut.

I’m the first one to say that movie characters don’t need to neatly fit into the “good” or “bad” characterization, but Obsession is absolutely not that movie. There is a certain point in the film when it becomes blatantly clear who the victim and who the villain is in this story.
