Defenders are gonna come out and claim it's "rule of cool", which I'm fine with. For instance, Cyberpunk has some STUPID gun design, but it works, because it's super cool and over the top and very Cyberpunk.
Meanwhile this is a goofy cartoony garand rifle. Being inaccurate to the reality of the firearm just inherently makes it lamer.
