I just published my 2026 Market Outlook: ‘AI, AI, AI…’ — It’s Painful to Predict. The grinch stole our 2025 Santa rally—that doesn’t bode well for 2026—so fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be another bumpy year! Happy New Year! medium.com/p/2026-market-…

This story makes me wonder if we are expected to be pleased that ICE is applying the law consistently, I wouldn’t say equally because we don’t get this kind of reaction— “Annie told me that the ICE agents who arrested her and took her to the detention facility were incredibly kind” —from every ICE arrest? Or are we expected to feel sorry for Annie—not because she is married to a military guy, who happens to be white—but for having lived an upstanding life as a Dreamer? The answer is simple: give all ~500,000 DACA registered arrivals—without any criminal history—a green card and the other 3+ million non-criminal Dreamers a pathway to permanent residency! It would save ICE a lot of effort and mitigate public grief over unnecessary arrests.

ICE came for my daughter-in-law. I support Trump and his efforts to control the border. I hope he keeps his promise to Dreamers, writes Jen Rickling on.wsj.com/4tHPv57

Racing to the moon to beat a competing nation to it is such a 1960s thing—been there done that! But if we are racing to the moon again six decades later because it’s a steppingstone to Mars and beyond—for grander, strategic reasons and scientific objectives—why not? Besides, wouldn’t it be great if we could find aliens before they find us?

@ThisWeekABC Did Trump warn China that the US would come to the defense of Taiwan if China tried to take it by force- a warning that President Biden publicly issued several times during his presidency- it’s a big reason why Xi never invited Biden to visit China!

U.S. Trade Rep. Jamieson Greer says President Trump did not ask China to take action in the Strait of Hormuz, but “he was very focused on making sure that they didn't provide material support to Iran. That's a commitment he obtained and confirmed.” abcnews.link/A0TX7JI

@ThisWeekABC This is only the beginning- there is a very high probability that President Trump will pardon himself, his family, his staff and close friends before he leaves office! So, they all will get to keep all the ill-gotten gains - we’ve gone from lawfare to lootfare!

BREAKING: Senator Bill Cassidy has been defeated. More than five years after voting to convict President Trump in his impeachment trial, the Louisiana Republican senator has lost in his GOP primary. In a Truth Social post, Trump reacted, saying “his disloyalty to the man who got him elected is now a part of legend, and it’s nice to see that his political career is OVER!” Trump-backed Rep. Julia Letlow and Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming finished ahead of Cassidy, according to the AP, and will now face off in next month’s runoff.

@atrupar You know when pols says “I’ve been really busy” or “I haven’t read/heard the full” statement, tweet, interview… it’s a cop out but when they do it in response to one of Trump’s actions, you know they are scared shitless to cross the Dear Leader!

The Xi has hit the fan (of the U.S. -led post-WWII global order) and it’s foreshadowing a new world order to include our old European allies and countries of the Global South - who have been economically hit by Trump’s blockade of the Hormuz Strait! Taiwan is being sacrificed as part of Trump’s capitulation to Xi - sad 😔

The EB notes, “Mr. Trump reportedly said nothing in response to Mr. Xi’s Thucydides play, which we hope is a good sign.” This is accurate, in that, Trump didn’t respond to Xi right away—there were snide social media posts suggesting Trump did not understand the reference and it was explained to him later—but then he put out a ridiculous post blaming Biden for America’s decline as perceived by Xi! In fact, Biden was never invited to visit China because he warned Xi publicly on several occasions that the U.S. would come to the defense of Taiwan, if China tried to seize it by force. Has Trump taken such a bold stance on Taiwan? Speaking of the Thucydides Trap, how about the “Trumpian Trap?” World leaders can’t avoid the “Trumpian Trap” — a mouth that spills all the beans, so they always know what’s on his mind! Trump’s face is a window to his mind—and it wasn’t reflecting positive vibes after the meeting with Xi—even though he came out of it mouthing the usual Roy Cohn lines to his favorite news anchors. But we haven’t seen Trump’s usual superlative posts about his “fantastic deals” at the summit. It’s quite likely Xi leaned hard on Trump regarding Taiwan—even willing to play hardball for getting his way—catching Trump by surprise! It’s time Trump realized that—by continuing to insist that Xi is a “close friend” —he is only fooling himself. 2027 is months away and it was Xi’s original deadline for taking Taiwan either peacefully or by force! Are we prepared for this catastrophe?
