We're hearing loads of stories like this from women and men who have experienced frightening safety incidents at @TravelodgeUK hotels. Their CEO must come out of hiding and appear before MPs to discuss how they are fixing this issue.

@BBCBreakfast My daughter and her friend stayed @TravelodgeUK and a member of staff, a male, pestered them for #sex and he banged on their door and frightened them both. Was reported. This was 4 years ago and nothing was done about it and now this. Why are you still allowing this to happen??

I'm disappointed that the CEO of @TravelodgeUK did not turn up to yesterday's meeting to listen to MPs concerned about women’s safety in their hotels.
I hope there will be opportunities in the future to understand the steps the hotel industry are taking to address VAWG.

We're shocked to learn this. This is a lapse of judgement by @TravelodgeUK's executive leadership -- almost as bad as offering a token voucher to a survivor of sexual violence in lieu of what took place in their Maidenhead hotel.

I cannot understand why @TravelodgeUK CEO has cancelled the scheduled MP meeting to discuss this today. I’m pleased the PM just raised this at PMQs. Women need to know they are safe when they sleep. Travelodge should have no issue providing this assurance as a minimum.
