Budgets reflect policy priorities. 
It makes no sense to cut U.S. Forest Service operations & research while spending nearly the same amount on a presidential ballroom.   Today, I told the USFS Director there is no justification for such a cut to caring for our nation’s forests.

I have a real problem with political gerrymandering. Last week, the Supreme Court ruled to limit parts of the Voting Rights Act. Ultimately, this will make it easier for states to dilute the votes of Black voters and other minority groups. We need to outlaw gerrymandering. Period.
