@Motionstahp This is a card game - so some sort of random unluck should happen, but in reality working around land limitations and manascrews is the part of the deckbuilding game. Abd the MTG lands with all them flaws, still interest me more than any other TCG

That’s a very basic question that can be solved by thinking for 5 seconds: Both TOTK and BOTW do NOT focus on story. The plot is an excuse for the gameplay. All quests in both games focus on gameplay freedom and simple objectives. Crimson Desert tries to have a story by having cutscenes, long conversations and trail missions. It tries to be RDR2 or TW3 without giving the context of the strong narrative these games have. If you played more than 3 games in your life you can get to this conclusion on your own, but I guess it’s better to farm engagement.

I’ll always find it strange how bad writing is seen as a massive issue for Crimson Desert but Breath of the Wild and TOTK both get away with having the most basic, generic writing and boring storytelling. Why do some games get a pass for focusing on gameplay & others don’t?
