We stand at a pivotal moment where Ethiopia's national ambitions connect directly to the national grid. By expanding our renewable energy sources, we are lighting up every corner of the country, not just its streets, but also the hopes and prosperity of our people. This achievement stands as a powerful testament, when we commit ourselves and unite in effort, we have the ability to harness our own resources and secure a self-reliant energy future.

The corridors development initiative reflects our commitment to inclusive, sustainable, and people-centred urban transformation as articulated in the Homegrown Economic Reform Agenda. Implemented across multiple cities beyond Addis Ababa, the initiative is improving urban mobility, revitalising public spaces, strengthening local economies, and enhancing environmental resilience. By connecting neighbourhoods and unlocking the economic and social potential of cities nationwide, our endeavour demonstrates a clear national vision: building liveable, competitive, and inclusive cities that support balanced development and shared prosperity across Ethiopia.

We inaugurated Shabeely Resort, one of the flagship projects under the Dine for Generations initiative, which spans 385 hectares. Shabeely is not only a resort, but also a living expression of the rich heritage of the Somali Region, seamlessly blending modern architecture with ancient traditions. This eastern region project, among many others, marks a significant milestone in fulfilling our promise to make Ethiopia one of Africa’s top tourist destinations. The region’s abundant natural landscape, combined with the partnerships forged through Medemer’s endeavour, powerfully demonstrates that Ethiopia is not only a nation that dreams, but one that turns those dreams into reality.

Wonderful Kenyan Wanjira Bishota earned her PhD at 82, and that is just one chapter of her story. We are hoping she would inspire her East African peers to do some thing so uplifting at that age too… theeastafrican.co.ke/tea/magazine/a…

Whether in prosperity or in hardship, a mother never abandons her children because of her motherhood. Realizing that Ethiopia is an irreplaceable mother to her children, it is expected of all of us, by uniting together, to affirm Ethiopia’s resilience and sovereignty as did the heroes of yesterday. #ETAF90
