Cenk Uygur: Netanyahu said Iran war was "the culmination of my 40-year plan" - attack 7 countries for Israel. US has now attacked all 7. The White House officially justified the war by saying it was done 'at the request of Israel.' Yet cable news commentators call suggestions of Israeli influence 'conspiratorial' and 'antisemitic.' Cenk pointed out that the US government itself put it on paper So the US government is antisemitic now?

I'm just so so sick of ignorant media Islamophobes in senior positions of the UK & US media viciously going after anyone that dares stand up against the slaughter and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. Trevor Phillips notoriously got suspended from the Labour Party for Islamophobia, and you get the feeling, watching this astonishingly rude & sneary interview with @ZackPolanski, virtually the only senior British politician to show any sympathy for the Gazans, that Phillips frankly wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if every last Palestinian was erased from the face of the earth. He certainly can't see anything positive about protesting their genocide. Which raises the question: how and why did someone with such a record of toxic divisiveness ever get offered a Prime Time show in the first place?

When Jewish people speak out against genocide, why are our voices dismissed? And smirking while I describe someone Nazi-saluting at me isn’t just disrespectful - it feels deeply antisemitic. youtu.be/7VkfYJgLljE?si…

King Charles III quietly did something genuinely moving during his state visit to the United States. A lifelong environmentalist who has championed conservation for over five decades often at the cost of ridicule from the British press the King ended his trip by visiting Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. There, he sat with park rangers, swore in a new group of Junior Rangers, met Buddy the bald eagle, and unveiled a new partnership between Shenandoah and Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park. This is the same man who converted his own estate to organic farming back in 1986, long before it was fashionable. A foreign monarch showing up with real curiosity and respect for America’s public lands felt refreshingly sincere. And yet, it barely made a headline. That silence is telling. When a visiting head of state reminds us of the value of our own national parks more visibly than our own leadership, something has gone wrong. For decades, King Charles has put his credibility on the line for the natural world. Meanwhile, America’s public lands have faced aggressive rollbacks: the weakening of protections like the Roadless Rule, opening tens of millions of acres of national forests to logging and mining, and efforts to sell off large portions to private interests. It’s a stark contrast. One man has spent a lifetime planting trees and defending nature. The other treats the outdoors primarily as a backdrop for golf courses. Our public lands deserve better than being viewed as a development opportunity. They belong to all of us and they’re worth protecting, not selling.

During the Nuremberg Trials, Hermann Göring gave an interview to psychologist Gustave Gilbert and said: “Of course the people don’t want war. Why would some poor farmer want to risk his life in a war when the best he can hope for is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, people don’t want war. No one wants war in Russia, England, America — not even in Germany. That’s obvious. But in the end, it’s the leaders of a country who determine policy. And it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it’s a democracy, a communist state, a parliament, or a fascist dictatorship.” Gilbert objected: “But there is one difference in a democracy — the people have a voice through their elected representatives.” To which Göring replied: “That’s all well and good, but whether the people have a voice or not, they can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and for exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nuremberg Diary, April 18, 1946 Doesn’t it sound familiar?

Trump is going to get way, way worse. 👇🏼 John Thune will be held accountable for this. He could have walked into the White House with Schumer and a few others and said — knock it off. You can't send civilization-ending tweets. Get someone in charge or we're building a coalition to remove you. That would have worked because here's what people don't understand about Trump. He hates people who kiss his ass. I know this man. He respects people who stand up to him. Yet nobody will because they think it'll cost them their careers. So nothing happens and it gets worse. And when something truly catastrophic occurs — and it will — these same people will come running out saying the emperor has no clothes. Our adversaries are shaking their heads. Wondering how one man was allowed to wreak this kind of havoc on a country like this. It's embarrassing.

Many Americans today have mixed opinions about Barack Obama. Some admire him, others criticize him. But for those of us who come from outside, the reality is often different. Believe it or not, no American president has ever left such a strong impression around the world as Barack Obama. He embodied hope, respect, intelligence, and dialogue. He represented a powerful image of America: open, inspiring, and close to the people. For many of us, Obama was not just a president; he was a symbol. A symbol that everything is possible, that social background, skin color, or personal history should never be limits. He restored confidence to millions of young people around the world. He spoke to the world with dignity, calm, and responsibility. He knew how to unite instead of divide. No matter the internal political debates, internationally, Barack Obama will forever remain one of the most respected, loved, and admired American presidents. His legacy goes beyond borders. And his name will remain engraved in history.

Cenk Uygur explained Israel's real goals in the Iran war. 'They wanted the nuclear deal killed because it robbed them of an excuse. Their actual purposes: use the US to attack Iran while they steal southern Lebanon. Their plan is civil war in Iran - same as Syria, Libya, Sudan. Keep Iran distracted so it can't help Palestinians or anyone, Israel is stealing land from

Let’s talk about Khaled Daher. A paramedic in Lebanon’s Civil Defence. Not a fighter. Not a “target.” A first responder who ran toward danger to save lives. Two days ago, he was killed, along with two of his colleagues, when they were directly targeted while trying to rescue a civilian trapped under rubble. But his story doesn’t start there. Khaled wasn’t just a paramedic. He was the backbone of his family. After his brother died in Bulgaria, he went searching for him, across borders & through uncertainty, until he finally located his grave & brought him back to Lebanon, where he laid him to rest. He then became a father figure to his brother’s daughter, raising her as his own, carrying a responsibility that wasn’t his to bear, but one he chose anyway. He was a son, a brother, a provider, a quiet pillar holding others up. And in the end, he died the same way he lived, trying to save someone else. Khaled Daher didn’t just lose his life. His family lost their support. People lost the man who showed up when everything else fell apart. His niece has now lost both fathers. Khaled spent his life saving others. He was killed while doing exactly that. This is what is being lost. Over 103 medics and rescue workers have been killed since March 2. Not numbers. First responders. Lives that held other lives together.

🇮🇱🇱🇧 Israel is now openly calling it the "Gaza model" in Lebanon 2,600 dead, over a million displaced, dozens of towns near the southern border completely flattened. A several-mile-deep buffer zone Israel says it plans to permanently occupy. Deliberate destruction of civilian infrastructure at this scale, paired with mass displacement, is the definition of what war crimes tribunals were built for. The part that makes this different from Gaza is the explicit admission… Israeli officials aren't hiding the playbook. Source: NYT
