Mike Trout was special but peak Ken Griffey Jr was different. Never saw Jordan or Barry Sanders play live but I imagine that was the feeling they evoked as well. Magic!

Bert Jones was amazing & without injuries could've been a HOF'er. Buy in literally no universe was his peak better than Brees or Big Ben. This is absolutely ludicrous to say otherwise.

@Mr_Detroit_Lion @MalcolmTowle Nah…Yards Gained Per Pass Attempt (YPA) is not the same as air yards. It was a well designed offense. Brees last five years he was at 70%+ completion percentage. That’s era-driven. Michael Thomas’ ribs don’t survive most any other decade.

@MalcolmTowle @Mr_Detroit_Lion Disagree with Brees’ accuracy. It was ‘Dink-‘n’-Dunk’. Not being asked to do something produces really lame stats. His passer rating is almost 11 points higher indoor (101.6) than outdoor (90.9). Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa and New Orleans isn’t Chicago.

@Mr_Detroit_Lion Brees is hardly a fair comparison. He’s inarguably the most accurate passer in NFL history that benefitted from decades of paradigmatic positional/systems changes and sports science. Era to era comparisons are rediculous across domaines IMO

@MalcolmTowle Sure, but Jones was elite for 1 season before the injuries. In no world was his "Peak" better than Brees or Big Ben simply because they were healthier longer. And Jones 1 season was never better than Brees top 7 seasons.
