It’s this: CHARISMA. ​ This has been a huge learning in my own sales process on top of starting to hire out setters right now. ​ I think a lot of people obsess over technical skills and overlook the energy someone brings into a specific role. ​ But in my case… ​ Charisma is the difference between a one who gets ignored in the DMs… and one who books calls consistently. ​ Here’s why it matters so much to me ​ (and how this can help you book more calls in the DMs) 1/ Charisma keeps you from pedestalizing prospects ​ A setter without confidence will treat every prospect like they’re above them. That leads to needy DMs, over-apologizing, and hesitancy. A charismatic setter engages as an EQUAL. They don’t beg for calls. They guide conversations. That frame shift is quite literally everything in the sales process. 2/ Charisma shows up as detachment from the sale. ​ You can FEEL it in their energy. If they book a call? Great. ​ If they don’t? No stress. ​ That’s the mindset that prevents desperation and keeps conversations natural. Prospects sense the difference immediately and they lean in when they feel no pressure. 3/ Charisma reveals honesty under pressure. ​ In interviews, I look for how candidates respond to mistakes. Do they admit fault? Or do they deflect and get defensive? A CHARISMATIC setter owns the slip-up and moves forward. That level of honesty translates to trust later on with prospects. No doubt. 4/ Charisma is more valuable than perfect scripts. ​ You can train a setter to write better copy. ​ You CAN’T train them to bring presence into a conversation. ​ A setter with charisma will elevate even a basic script. A setter without it will make the best script fall flat. THE LESSON: ​ When you’re trying to set more appointments for your own biz… ​ Look at your ENERGY. ​ Because good energy is the foundation for starting genuine conversations that get replies, gain trust, and convert.
