My Dad has died. He passed away after his battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. I'm devastated. I don't know what to do. I was with him right until the end. Held his hand and told him I loved him. ❤ He was my hero.

@AMcGown @jonnymorris1973 @edstradling You have to also remember that at the time we had know editing facilities like Adobe Premiere etc then. I just had two VHS machines and not even insert edit! Although I seem to recall Marty did ‘I’m still Standing’ on a U-Matic edit suite…

@jonnymorris1973 @edstradling We saw Total Eclipse at Glasgow local group meetings in late 84/early 85, so would be long before Ed's more professional efforts. Elt's I'm Still Standing was another favourite at the time - this might have been Martin's as well?

@AMcGown @jonnymorris1973 @edstradling Yes - I’m still standing was Marty’s but I seem to recall that Justin Richards had a hand in it too! Justin and I then did The Final Countdown in 1987 at his place in Leamington Spa 😀

@edstradling @AMcGown @jonnymorris1973 I met Marty in either 84 or 85 when he came to stay. We both did versions of Total Eclipse at that time. @PaulVanezis then did a pro re-edit of my version at pebble mill and that is the one that was shown at conventions.
