Ask yourself if tomorrow the state tells you to go to Hospital, open your pant or Lungi or lift your skirt or saree and verify your gender identity, How will you feel? Article 14 of the Constitution says the state shall not deny to any person equality. But where is that equality? There is no medical test to prove anyone's gender. It is decided by the individual's heart and mind. But now any transgender will be forced to stand before doctor for verification. How will they verify? And why? Thousands and lakkhs of citizens of this country in one bill have become suspect in their own nation. Is this progress? You are denying basic human dignity to citizens on whose votes you got elected, and now passing a bill to erase their identity? This will be fought. This will be reversed.
