Benefits of Owning an EV over an ICE Car in India ✅Lower Running Costs: ⚡️The cost of electricity per kilometer for an EV (approx. ₹1 to ₹2) is substantially lower than the cost of petrol or diesel per kilometer for an ICE car (approx. ₹7 to ₹9), leading to considerable savings over time. for 1Lakh KM running you would save roughly between 4-7Lakh ⚡️Home Charging: costs roughly 6-14/ unit based each state electricity tarrifs ✅Reduced Maintenance Costs: ⚡️Fewer Moving Parts: EVs have (around 20 moving parts vs. over 1,000 in an ICE), which translates to less wear and tear. ⚡️Less Service needs : No engine oil changes, clutch replacement, spark plug replacement, and fuel filter changes. ⚡️Longer Brake Life: Due to Regenerative braking you dont use the brake pads more often. ✅Financial Incentives ⚡️Tax Exemptions: states like ( MH, KA, TN, TS AP, AS, BR, CH, DL,GA, LA, ML, OD, PB, UP, UK and WB) offer 100 road tax exemtion for the Electric cars ⚡️Lower GST: The GST for EVs is currently 5%, which is significantly lower than the 28%-40% GST applicable to ICE vehicles and Road Tax ranging from 3%-18% tax on Ex-showroom of ICE vehicle Except @CMOKerala , all south indian states have zero road tax on EV's, of course road tax on EV's are less compared to ICE in Kerala. ⚡️Many states like PU, Delhi, Odisha are also offering subsidy on buying electric cars. but check the actual status on individual state portals. Environmental and Health Benefits: ⚡️Zero Tailpipe Emissions: Zero emissions (like Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides, and Particulate Matter), drastically improving local air quality in cities--> North India, your next car should be electric car. ⚡️Lower Carbon Footprint: With @PMOIndia har ghar solar and widespread solar and windmills installations means your vehicle is charged with greener electricity and EV's lifetime emissions are generally lower than those of an ICE vehicle. ⚡️Less Noise Pollution: No noise, quieter streets, cities ✅Driving Experience and Technology: ⚡️Instant Torque: Electric motors deliver instant and powerful acceleration ("instant torque"), providing a quick and responsive driving experience. ⚡️Simpler Driving: Most EVs are automatic, making city driving much smoother and easier. ⚡️Smart Features: EVs typically come equipped with advanced technology like mobile app integration for tracking, charging management, and over-the-air software updates. if you thinking of buying a car, you shoud test drive electric cars! @ferrarirules86 @autocarindiamag @evelectree @EVJoints #futureiselectric #EVolution #ElectricVehicles #electrifyindia #evfan

@BaluGorade Lot of people think paying 20/km for taxi is too much... But if most of them calculate cost of ownership, especially cars with 15L upward per km cost would be a lot higher than Rs.20

Add: Insurance - ₹2,000/month Maintenance - ₹2,000/month Tyres, battery, repairs, tolls, parking extra Real monthly ownership cost can easily cross ₹40,000. The car price is just the entry ticket.

@Mallangoudaaski @venkat_fin9 EV running cost = 1.5₹/km, service 0.5₹/km, monthly run ~ 5000km. Monthly revenue = 5000*4 =₹200,000, minus driver salary = 160,000 - running cost = 10,000 - other overheads (10%) - finance cost (15%)= ~1,00,000 per vehicle

Our beloved Bangalore cab services charge nearly ₹200 for just 4–5 km. The moment a cheaper alternative arrives, protests begin to protect vested interests, and vote-bank politics kicks in. In the end, governments step in and crush competition while the common person keeps paying the price.

@GodrejProp Nobody has yet contacted me.. I am actually in financial distress, a timely refund would help me to a great extent. Please treat this as a serious matter. I have been patient enough, but I am losing my patience now.

I am amongst the voice of the opposition in INDIA & everyday I attack the government on television & social media, am severely critical of the PM & his ministers and no one has ever taken any action against me. I find it offensive you compare my country's press freedom with Emirates or Cuba ! Sure all INDIAN's would want even greater freedom of speech but your comparison of freedom of media in INDIA being comparable with regimes that police FoS is absolutely false & unfortunate! Wish you luck!! @HelleLyngSvends
Helle Lyng@HelleLyngSvends

Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to. Norway has the number one spot on the World Press Freedom Index, India is at 157th, competing with Palestine, Emirates & Cuba. It is our job to question the powers we cooperate with.

“PM, Modi, why don’t you take some questions from the freest press in the world” truly a cringe moment for Indian democracy & the free press. If Modi is such a confident communicator than why is he the first PM in our history never to do an open presser?
Suhasini Haidar@suhasinih

After press statements in Oslo, Norwegian press object to the PMs not taking questions as they normally do. Norway PM Store returns to do interviews with Norwegian media.

Muslims do not offer regular five-time Namaz on roads. It usually happens only during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Twice a year and only for around 10 minutes, that too when the mosque is full. In recent years, many mosques have started arranging 2–3 Jamaats to ensure people don’t have to pray outside. But the leaders know that this is the only way to divert the attention of their followers. They know, This is the only way to please their followers and make sure they don't question the govt.
