@OptumRx I am calling on you to not only change the policy and better serve your clients, but educate yourselves on how nondiabetic hypoglycemia conditions work. I almost didn’t wake up tonight, and that is ENOUGH.
@OptumRx I need this monitor to ensure that I am able to sleep without going into a hypoglycemic coma or die due to low blood sugar in my sleep. However, by your standards, I am not in need of one. Do you know that hypoglycemia is just as fatal in nondiabetics as diabetics? 3/?
@OptumRx I am well aware I do not have those, but I should not have to have one in order to receive a CGM for seriously/potentially fatal blood sugar levels. I have spoken to you personally, and now want to advocate in a larger scale, as I am not the only one goeing through this
@OptumRx This is ridiculous. I am a no diabetic hypoglycemic patient. My blood sugar regularly goes below 50. My doctor has ordered me a CGM. Your company has told me that the specific requirement to be covered for a CGM is to have t 1 diabetes or t2 insulin dependent diabetes1/?
If you’ve ever thought that chronically ill/disabled people enjoy being stuck at home, can you think back to a time when maybe you had the flu and had to stay home? Did you have fun? I know I didn’t.

@chikn_broccoli Loops literally save me every time I'm in grocery stores, malls, restraunts, the engage is newer but I know the experience ones have been awesome to filter out the background noise!
@WhatTheADHD When I was 11 I was diagnosed because I presented as hyperactive. I shit you not, doctor told me in 2010 that I would be in trouble come college. Low and behold... I'm in year five of my degree graduating in May...
