Disturbing those at rest is supposedly an issue, but to solve a murder (or to know if one had even occurred), has been a legit reason countless times—how long ago it may/may not have occurred shouldn't matter. Plus, the bones were studied in (I believe) the 1930's, so why not study them again with better technology?
