Wolves had him and Vitinha on the bench while they were playing Otasowie

This will forever fry my brain.

@umirf1 Pep is always getting blamed for being a winner, instead of other teams innovating like he did they just decided to copy and paste. He switched his style of play again to somewhat free flowing football you'll see those small changes from other clubs.
English

Kompany and Luis Enrique (to a lesser extent) are both inspired by Guardiola so it’s hard for this point to land when those two coaches produced that sort of football today.
Joey@JoeySYM69
I can’t believe Pep spawned a generation of managers that want to take this type of football away from us….

I just heard the commentator say “this is how football should be played” and Alan Shearer agreed my only pushback to this is if this was 2 Premier League teams played like this; pundits, the media and rival fans but not celebrate it. They would spend days and weeks criticising the poor defending and the lack of defensive discipline!
English

@PatrickBVS They were playing a high line in a full press why would they build from the back when, they can just give to the attackers both these play to outscore their opponents so they play a mix of long balls and line breaking passes.
English

@Simon_Marange You couldn't even guess where Bayern were gonna pass the ball, you have to be ready to receive the ball anywhere 😂
English

@Lukathfc Playing "like this" we were in 5th and 17th in PL bro

PSG’s style of play got them a sextuple
Bayerns style of play under flick got them a sextuple
City’s style of play got them multiple leagues and a treble
Barca’s style of play got them a domestic treble
Attacking wins major trophies at a minimum a league title

Guess the club they support challenge

@_Paash_ You gonna double on Olise then leave kane and Diaz free? Ain't no way just risk that 1v1 and trust your player😂
English

@le_sowa @Oluwayomi_89 @j7zaza There no "best league in the world" it's all leveled out at this point just that the premier league has more money and better infrastructure.
English

Just look at Olise then Doue. JUST WATCH THIS SEQUENCE MAN. I haven’t enjoyed a game of football this much in years
Yakob@yakobper90
Nah the football on display in this match😭😭😭😭 the Premier League cannot compete brah this is a whole different sport
English

@DougieCritchley I had to listen to football experts and pundits, coaches and fans tell me a spurs fan that Thomas Frank is a good manager right until he we landed in 17th and they still wanted to give him more time, most of the English don't know ball they know ball they just value winning.
English

Premier League disciples will have you believe that the only reason we can’t play this level of football is because our schedule is too intense and the players are too tired.
That might be a contributing factor, but I’m afraid we also have to acknowledge that, as much as I love players like Rice, Caicedo, Saka, Palmer, James, Semenyo etc… the list goes on… they just aren’t quite at the same level.
Which is fine, we’re talking about THE BEST players in the world.
But we as Premier League fans do have a tendency to overrate players playing in England, particularly if they’re English!
English

@316simsim The premier league beats football out of players and installs a systematic style of play, which doesn't work against big clubs you need individual performance i.e Cherki is by far the closest to that.

@mr_shimmy Sundowns could stand a chance in a match like this because of the type of football they play the problem is the final product and some touches. The club world cup proves that they could hang on. I don't even like Sundowns btw.
English

@poetscorneruk Oh look there's Diaz making a run, Dink, goal 😭

@Rantsho_black @kuttloanoo There's no exception to patriarchy, people worked very hard so that she is remembered correctly, the "new winne" was a jab because the very same women wanted respect to be put on her name. I also learnt this the hard way.
English

@kuttloanoo I disagree, she's one of the very few exceptions to this treatment. Largely because of her contributions while her husband was in jail. That's why any SA woman who's deemed a freedom fighter/activist immediately gets called "new Winnie".
Michelle O'bama yes, Winnie Mandela, no
English

she was a central force in the struggle for democracy, yet her entire life was reduced to "Mandela's wife." she deserved recognition beyond that label, but patriarchy ensured she never received it.
Nalane Tosa@Ezaezil_Grey
If her story doesn't teach you how patriarchal systems are easily weaponised against women, then there's no hope for you.
