@MamboDave @wcmfbreakroom @AudacyCorp Hi Dave, The only solution is to break up the chains and return to strictly local ownership of all broadcasting formats. The current plantation system exists to exploit. To wring every drop of profit from its licenses and leave the poor local marks poor & stupid. Deregulation.

(sigh) Sadly, the radio station I used to work at, & that we all grew up listening to, is sooo far from what it used to be, & is unrecognizable today. No live/local jocks except for the @wcmfbreakroom & they're still Awesome. Thanks @AudacyCorp for killing Live & Local.

@Kruzer10 @wcmfbreakroom @AudacyCorp MY answer, is that 'Live & Local' could have remained, BUT...live personalities are an expense, & this company (and others) only eye the bottom line. They have no time for or interest in their smaller markets. Only the share price ($2.50 as of 5/3) matters.
