Does anyone else find it odd that $200 billion is spent on cancer research every single year and the only thing to show for it is a 75% increase in cancer deaths since the 1990s?

I had a woman sitting next to me on a plane telling me how much she loved Obamacare because if it had not come along she was going to have to get a job. She explained that she was a Trust Fund baby and had never worked ( I'd guess she was mid 50's) . Now she had this plan for next to nothing. As you, I am self employed, I told her "You're welcome" . She looked at me weird, "For what"? she asked. I said well I'm paying for your plan. Big glassy eyed stare. No understaning whatsoever.

Years ago when Obama was running for his first term, my neighbors kept talking about how great Obama was. I never said a word to them about being conservative because back then I was more centrist. At the time I was a 1099 consultant so I paid for my own health insurance. It was about $650 for a family of three and we had a fairly low deductible. After Obama won and the ACA passed, I lost my health insurance and was told by BCBS that I had to go through the government website to apply. My insurance went from an affordable $650 a month to $2400 a month with a $10k deductible per family member. When I said this to my neighbor, they called me a liar. I asked them where they got their news and they said they watched Jon Stewart. I laughed so hard and they never spoke to me again. I’m glad they finally moved. I just wanted to say this: these are the people we are arguing with online. Completely uninformed buffoons. If you get your information from a late night comedian talk show host, we are not on the same level. Good riddance, Colbert.

@Irina_exh No, they should have tazed her. The cop is expected to handle these situations in a professional way. He went over board try to work with a hostile perp. With all those cops they could have easily subdued her.

This woman punched a cop and then gets knocked out by another cop. Was this justified? YES or NO?

@HistorianUSA1 There was an story in the Gainesville Sun back in the late 80's about a guy with the "Need Work" sign who hung out at the I-75 exchange everyday. That was his job. Pulled in between $200-$300 a day would finish, drive home to his house until the next day

Teacher says she’s “broke” on Day 1 of summer break… so she hits the street with a panhandling sign. She made $103 in just 90 minutes and says she’s going back every day. This is wild, yet nauseating.

@sweetcarolinatv The “Peggy Sue Got Married” (1986) problem…. Or “Mr. Destiny” (1990)…. I suspect most people would make even worse decisions in a do-over. The reasons are that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,” most are too impulsive and impatient.

Landlords should not be able to increase rent unless they are upgrading the property/apartment.

🚨WHAT?!!! Over TWO HUNDRED American flags were VANDALIZED by "teens" at a North Carolina Veterans Memorial Park over the weekend... ...TWICE!!! Residents frantically replaced hundreds of flags only to wake up and find them vandalized AGAIN in the morning. Even a wreath that was placed on the VIETNAM MEMORIAL was SHREDDED by the teens. THIS IS DISGUSTING!!!!
