I know some people think these tiny homes are the future, but I honestly think it’s pathetic. I’ve seen backyard sheds that are bigger than this. Somewhere along the way we started convincing ourselves that paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for what looks like a storage unit is normal. Is this really the direction we want housing to go?

A new episode in “TSA hires some of the dumbest people alive.” Our young child walks through metal detector, setting it off. Young, disinterested worker mumbles something about “shoes need to come off”. I inquired “whose shoes need to come off?” Immediately a belligerent, possible supervisor (maybe 6 weeks older than the mumbler) loudly and sing-songy interjects “if a minor.. sets off the detector.. a parent.. must take off.. their shoes.” I stare at this scholar. She stares back. In the 10 seconds I’m calculating “is it worth it to ask the safety logic of a child setting off a detector, thus one, but not both parents must take off their shoes” my barefoot wife walks through the detector and my likely full body cavity search post-mouth off is avoided. The criminal mastermind and I follow suit wearing our shoes. Doing a helluva job @TSA 👍 Truly keeping the skies safe. 😐
