Should be a complete no-brainer for United to try and trigger this clause and get Semenyo signed. We need a back-up for Cunha/Mbuemo anyway. Instead of playing with Cunha/Mbuemo as a striker — Semenyo is a much better striker option. If Amad isn’t playing at RWB, ie is replaced by say Maz, Semenyo could give us the same punch from the left side instead (or Cunha). We have no FFP issues whatsoever. Getting Semenyo doesn’t prevent us from signing two big CMs. In fact, if Semenyo is the difference between finishing 5th and 7th — the income we get from the CL alone pays for his transfer fee.
