@renault-uk Is this the place to ask about a second key for a car that was not provided by the dealer? They say they bought the car from Renault directly and there was only one key?

@bledwine Which is why there are schools with scripts for every interaction in the classroom. However it's taking away from the actual teaching as learning isn't script based

One of the problems with Doug Lemov’s “Teach Like a Champion” misuse of a meta-analysis is that it creates a culture of control in a classroom. There is no community or discussion; and the teacher becomes a game show host, with a timer and a set of instructions. #MAedu

@rlrossi64 @TyburnFleet A head teacher I worked with said he was not looking forward to retirement as the only critical decision he would have to make would be Tesco or Sainsbury.

I know it should be the responsibility of their parents, but is it really so hard for schools to encourage children to brush their teeth? (By the way, primaries have been doing for decades).

@johnmilbank3 I think we should get rid of walking. That is so old-fashioned. Ah, but walking works when you want to get somewhere close.

Exactly why is phonics conservative?! I thought it was some sort of 19th C fad that tried to displace the perennial ‘look and say’ as it has come to be called. Probably time phonics went, along with also modern excessive rote learning and written exams. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/08/1…

I have just joined BlueSky. Very familiar interface. @manyanaed.bsky.social And there are no lunatics, as far as I can see. It's a shame to leave the laughs FlatEarthers give freely, but the choice is sensible given Musk's claim of free speech. But it's mostly free dirt.
