Being overly political is a sign of mental illness and an unstable life. You are emotionally invested into things you have practically 0 impact on, which constantly impacts your mood. I couldn’t imagine following this stuff daily, subjecting myself to whatever nonsense the current thing is. If you have responsibilities and things to do in your social life, there’s no reason you should be religiously following every little thing which happens, you simply don’t have time, and would not want to subject yourself to unneeded negativity energy.

@virgilpete There's nothing inherently wrong with it but a child should understand what its like to not get everything they want. With boys everyone understands this but with girls everyone gets scared for some reason

Whenever a man asks, “What do you bring to the table?” on a first date, I always wonder what answer he thinks he’s about to get. Does he expect me to pull out a PowerPoint? “Thanks for asking. @raven_brah I don’t really see this as humiliating but it does seem pretty contrived. I’ve never seen my daughter or any other little girls try to decorate their fathers like this or ask parents to try on their plastic princess shoes.

As a father, if you allow your daughters to do this to you, you are teaching them that it’s ok to humiliate men like this and that they should pursue such men. They model their potential mates after their fathers. Not good!

Family court is the one place on earth where a man is treated as a monster until proven innocent. The system is so heavily biased that a woman can walk in, squeeze out a few tears, tell a completely fabricated story, and strip a man of his children and his assets in one afternoon. As women, we have to admit that the legal system hands us a loaded gun, and far too many of us pull the trigger on innocent men just out of spite.

So everyone's getting laid off again. If you were just laid off from your job, I've got a little unconventional advice for ya: Do not start looking for a job the next day, or even the next week. And if you can afford it? Take an entire month off. Now, listen—I know we're all in different financial situations, and an incredibly significant portion of our country lives paycheck to paycheck. But I'm also incredibly sure you're wildly stressed out, work too much, maybe even lost a bit of yourself in the grind. You've gotta give yourself a moment. When I went through my first lay-off, I immediately started looking for jobs, and luckily got interviews the very same week. Anddd I was not emotionally ready, and my exhaustion showed, and I even ghosted some interview opportunities. I was totally fried and badly needed a break. Most lay-offs come with some form of severance & paid out vacation days. I beg you, take that time for yourself. Catch up on sleep. See your kids. Pick up a hobby. Go to the gym. Be a person who doesn't dream of labor. You'll be 1000x healthier for it, have more clarity with what you're looking for, and be far more likely to land the next gig. Keep in mind: you will never have this much time again. The second you get your next job, it's back to 8-10 hour days. I know NOT having a job can be stressful, but you've gotta take as much time as you can.
