@ManateeVanity Ahh! It’s called PICK THE LOCK by A.S. King. This story dissects how domestic violence affects all members in a toxic household through a lens of surrealism. Not only is it a page-turner. It may help teens and adults alike recognize subtle patterns in their own relationships.

Library patron: “Have you read any good books lately?” Me: “Oh, I have! There’s a book I just finished and adored. It’s young adult fiction, but it—” Library patron: *scrunches up her face like she bit into something sour and walks away* Me: :(

First time typing up my collection in progress into a table of contents format like this and wow. It’s all here—the whole linked plot of stories. Only a few more pieces to finish drafting and submit, and then I’ll be ready for the big revision process. It all feels so real now!
