Project Hail Mary needs to be in this conversation. For all the love & attention Dune, The Odyssey & Tom Cruise are about to get- which is deserved- Project Hail Mary is a film I refuse to move on from quickly. This deserves to contend for the Oscar for Best Picture. Unquestionably one of the year’s best films.

Burnham is Labour's Boris Johnson. A mediocre politician that's weirdly jovial, intentionally presents an ununiform image to appear more human, can work the media for personal spin/PR, and talk his way around and out of any line of enquiry he doesn't like.

John Leguizamo’s work as Eumaeus in The Odyssey (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟) has to be considered for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. I’m not sure how there could be supporting performances better than this the rest of the year. Leguizamo is the film’s emotional heartbeat & brings some laughs & a lot of tears to this movie. All-time great performance from John.

@Manclaw Oh goodness, Mark. I totally get that people have the right to refuse screening/vaccinations/treatment etc. But they should have a reasoned argument why they are doing so. I myself refused an endoscopy because I knew that I wouldn't cope with it. But this 'Big Pharma' bollocks...

Oh my goodness! Some of the replies to this are scary! People - screening saves lives. Take it up at every opportunity. And as the thread got into the Covid vaccine too - Covid jabs also saved lives &, for the vast majority of people, were not dangerous.

Watched The Odyssey today. Enjoyed it, particularly pleased with how I managed to make my snacks last for the entire film. I'd be brilliant at rationing in war times.
