Just tried running qwen 3. Something 30b model locally, fast and private but pretty inaccurate

@loktar00 it installed a 6.6gb qwen 3.5, so far its much more accurate comparing the same questions I asked 3.0 it does do a lot more thinking before hand though which slows down responses, but so far so good

@MandelDuck Yeah probably like Q4 which actually isn't too bad. You could run Qwen 3.5 at 27b (might be kind of slow) or qwen 3.5 9b which would be faster.

@loktar00 hmm I can install qwen3.5 in cli, it just didnt slow in the ollama ui so I didnt install it before, installing now

ah I only have a macbook m4 pro, 48gb of ram, so this was the best I could chose my desktop pc is 6 years old atm so not great either but looking at getting a new system soon, probably fork out for a rtx 5090 as I want to do image diffusion locally I saw this in the cli qwen3:30b ad815644918f 18 GB so if its 18gb I assume its quantized down?

@MandelDuck What quant are you running? After q4 drops off a cliff for accuracy on the bigger models but q5/q6 is surprisingly close to full precision.

Set up open claw for my sister, but it just wouldn't work, the agent couldn't fix itself so the solution was to get my agent to help it and it figured out the issue The difference was my agent was powered by opus 4.6 here's chatgpt 5.4
