The Tour de France is coming to Liverpool! 🚴 On Saturday 3 July 2027, the world’s greatest cycling race will finish Stage Two right here on our iconic waterfront. Day1 of #100daysofwalking starting bringing parents dog out, he loves it. Very cold on the Wirral, wrap up.

Sometimes the most powerful moments are the unplanned ones. During a quiet Mass in Capri, Andrea Bocelli stepped forward, unannounced and sang Ave Maria. No stage. No spotlight. Just a voice offered in reverence. It’s a reminder for this week that beauty doesn’t always arrive with ceremony. Grace can appear quietly, in ordinary moments, if we’re present enough to notice. May this week bring a little stillness, a little humility, and an openness to moments that lift the soul often when we least expect them.

A brief tiny memory about Manchán Magan, who passed away yesterday. I guested on a series he did 20 years ago, and he noted that I had dropped the “fada” (the accent/diacritic) over the O in my name, which I had replaced with a capital O, just for ease of understanding in the UK. “Put it back” he said, “It should be there, proudly” And ever since, yes, the fada has been back on the O on every poster and tour. Here it is, outside the Swansea Arena last night. That’s Manchán’s doing.

I don’t think he’s my biggest fan and that’s perfectly fine. I’ve probably pissed him off more often than not. I reckon he disagrees with pretty much everything I say and stand for and I reckon he’d be quite happy if I was the first restaurant to go in Killarney but seeing any one bounce back from a serious health scare and be able to smile and have a pint is a fantastic sight to see I know you have me blocked but I hope you see this @philipnolan1 If you ever make it to Kerry, I’d love to buy you a pint and wish you well Great to see you up and running and wishing you very well on a full recovery.
