@Spineur1 @MaMoMVPY Actually, modern H-bombs use fission triggers that produce massive amounts of radioactive fallout. Because they are 100–300x more powerful than Hiroshima, a ground burst would cause far more long-term contamination, not less. The "cleaner" fusion myth is scientifically wrong.

@McFaul Mike, Trump had already damaged NATOs unity, before he attacked Iran. Threatening to annex Greenland is just one example. All the vitriolic rhetoric about NATO started Day 1 off his 2nd term. Why is it a one-way street where Trump is not to blame, but Europe is?

Even if you did not support Trumps decision to launch of war of choice against Iran (like me), restricting the use of US airbases in NATO countries imprudently damages NATO unity. Yes, Trumps threats to invade/annex NATO countries does too. But 2 wrongs don’t make a right.

I regret that some NATO allies are denying us access to our bases in their countries. I also regret that the US president threatened to invade and annex NATO countries. This ridiculous Trump policy is obviously negatively impacting our national security now. I hope both of these issues within NATO can be overcome soon.
