yah true, and it’s impossible to remove tiers at this point as that’s one of the least “oldschool” things you could do. The riots would be justified 🔥 Best I can think of is leave bronze-rune as they are and make 3 new sets that are worth smithing. So basically Smithing 2 😂 that or a smithing option to fortify sets somehow to avoid bloat, but even that might be bloated and you’d still pretty much have to buy the sets which isn’t good either.

@Mandrue @flomple There really is no easy fix. Theres too many armor types too. We really dont need Bronze, steel or even adamant. Iron->Mithril->Rune is a fine 1-40 defense path and removing Tin/Copper would probably feel nice for early smithing that isnt skipped with The Knights Sword.

What do you want to see (or not see) from a smithing/mining rework? One thing for me would to steer FAR away from a forestry-esque approach to mining. Please I beg.

@flomple @Versacenoose 80+ smithing for rune still seems too high for smithing your own armour to ever be viable, but lowering the level too much runs into the issue of alch values being too high for the early game and easily farmed by bots. There’s no easy solution, but I’m interested to see one made.

@Versacenoose I don’t think it would change the economy very much, but I’m not sure. I think reducing requirements by 10-15 levels might be a good fix. Ill give it more thought.

@H4MPSHIRE They removed the duel arena in the first place to avoid legal issues. Marketing it as straight up gambling would be even worse :p

Reintroducing the Sand Casino as a legit in-game casino would actually kill off shady IRL clan hall gambling and hand the OSRS economy back to the players. No more sketchy discords, just good old desert degeneracy. Jagex, you’re welcome. 🏜️🎰 #OSRS

@Mandrue I don’t mind this idea. I love the ch fight but I hate the prep portion. Especially T3 prepping on my HC.

Been getting a lot of questions about the idea of reworking drop rates at CG. My response: Do what you do with aaraxor & titans. Allow to sacrifice loot to increase the chance at an enhanced seed. Feel like that would work well with the grind.

@caamelrs @B0aty @mintmadcow Scythe is 1/19 per purple. He got 26 purples so that’s roughly 1.4x rate which is pretty decent. For hardcores obviously it’s better to spoon somewhere like tob, but still not bad! Mine on a regular Ironman took 46 purples, and I’ve seen much worse. Anything under 2x rate is 👍

@MarvoDa1 @okayyyy37 You’re free to imagine it however you will. That’s kinda the point of fiction! “Lava is more of earth than fire”, and so is Bolin. Who’s to say how rare bending works in the Avatar universe other than the writers? In many ways they left it open to imagination, and I like that :)

@Mandrue @okayyyy37 Cuz lava is more of earth than fire. If we’re gonna be nerdy and accurate about this, lava is molten rocks, fire is a chemical reaction, so lava can create fire from the heat, it couldn’t be a possibility that it’s a hybrid, he just happened to bend a rare element of earth

@DetachedJoy @XarovRs @KingCondor69 This is a bit tangential, but the main problem with blowpipe back in the day was how good it was for how easy it was to get. I saw a suggestion a while back about buffing the Tonalztics of Ralos to make it a dps weapon similar to what the blowpipe used to be which would be cool

@KingCondor69 Bowfa didn't even exist back when I got my tbow and irons didn't complain. Now ironmen complain when they have to spend more than 50 hrs to get op items. Way too many people playing irons these days that should just be playing mains instead

@XarovRs @2Factor_ @KingCondor69 for real! If you want to be a completionist then be a completionist, but don’t complain about it. There are so many alternatives if you get exhausted going for an item like the bofa. Just move on and progress elsewhere :p
