BPO incumbents are trying whatever immoral methods they can to desperately cling onto their business. In the age of AI, little do they know, they are already dead in the water.

Importance of diversity at the early stages is underrated. Nobody wants to join your team if you're a team of 10 and everyone's an Indian dude

You can use 4o to generate fake receipts. There are too many real world verification flows that rely on “real images” as proof. That era is over.

@OpenAI @sama @sama I would like to be able to go on a walk while talking to chatgpt advanced voice mode as if I’m on a phone call with my earphones. Right now it just shuts off if my phone locks. I’m a founder who likes to clarify his thoughts on a walk

Starting today, we’re rolling out a version of Advanced Voice powered by GPT-4o mini to give all ChatGPT free users a chance to preview it daily across platforms. The natural conversation pace and tone are similar to the GPT-4o version while being more cost effective to serve.

Earlier in my career when someone was being longwinded and convoluted I'd think "I just don't understand it yet" and now I think "that person just doesn't understand it yet."

@tszzl At Columbia, the masters program is the main cash cow, subsidizing undergrad and PhD programs

the us masters degree has become a huge scam - doesn’t teach mastery over anything, just seems like a way for universities to bilk foreign students like cash cows

@ManglaArjun They are mostly clustered at 95%+, and the other companies vary from 30-40%. That is 30-40% of the H-1B petitions & acceptances are Indian.

We can't argue about the H-1B without data, so here it is: Top 200 H-1B Employers by Salary from 2021-2024! The red bars are companies with 95%+ Indians — the IT staffing firms, all in the bottom 50%. Bottom 70 are <$100k. ~30-50% H-1B has a low-wage problem.

How about this guy, @DavidSacks? Is this the same guy? Or will you say this is someone else too? Is this your “best and brightest” Indian boy @sriramk, David? Is this the “right guy” with the same name who works in VC talking about how INDIAN IMMIGRANTS in tech should scam our immigration system by marrying US citizens so they can get green cards? Or will you tell Trump this is a different guy too? You do know that immigrants plotting to marry US citizens for green cards is immigration fraud right? Why should I stop? I don’t really want people scamming my country or Trump for that matter. I take it very personally. So tell me. Same guy? Different guy? What’s the story now?

One key learning: all non-tech roles in a startup boil down to 2 core intrinsics — charisma and analytical prowess. If you have those, you can excel at any non-technical role. Everything else is learnable in very short spans of time (mostly days; sometimes weeks).

HUGE Immigration News! We have the first EVER look at H-1B lottery data. Did you also suspect the lottery wasn't truly random? They're not. Certain companies like Tiktok and Bytedance have 50% higher odds than average. I broke it down by nationality, company and age... 1/5

@ditzikow But unless the person’s a repeat founder, nothing like 20s — the naive grit, freedom and lack of constraints (family, mortgage) of the young bright-eyed founder is unmatched. In fact given less credibility, they probably have to clear a higher bar to be trusted in initial stages
