@PereMartra Knowing what it does at such a granule level is really cool — makes your book have that much more appeal.

@BruzWJ Thanks for this! It's great to hear when the books are exactly what people want to read. And, lucky for us, @mgfeller agreed to do it.

Honestly love this take. Toy chatbot demos look great because nothing real is on the other end of the call. The hard part starts when an agent has to handle a half-finished workflow, recover from a stale tool response, or hand off to a human without losing the thread. Glad someone is writing a book aimed at the actual gap, not another prompt-engineering tour.
Manning Publications@ManningBooks

Toy chatbot demos are easy. Building agentic AI that interacts with real tools and workflows is where things get interesting. @mgfeller's Building Agentic Applications with CrewAI and MCP walks through exactly that — from single agents and structured outputs to multi-agent systems, MCP servers, Cursor integrations, multimodal workflows, and human oversight. New in MEAP and half off through May 27th: hubs.la/Q04gcKMk0

Postgres mistakes often aren't all that obvious. PostgreSQL Mistakes and How To Avoid Them by @vyruss breaks down real-world issues across data types, security, and features and shows how to fix them with practical guidance. Even experienced users will find gaps worth closing. Alan Williamson points this out in his review: hubs.la/Q04dZ_sm0 The book: hubs.la/Q04dZts_0

@adelbucetta @KirkDBorne While that's not what Kirk is showing here, there is a second edition, and that's part of what he gets into. It covers it in his first edition too, but it's even more in the second.

@0x_Afzal @KirkDBorne How were we supposed to know we'd need more editions after the first edition? 😂 P.S. Have you considered a career in stand up? We've only gotten two comments from you and have laughed out loud twice. You're funny.

Running PostgreSQL in Kubernetes isn't just containers — it's lifecycle control, storage semantics, and high availability. At SCaLE 23x, @vyruss breaks down how @CloudNativePG approaches the problem: directly managing Pods and PVCs, using native streaming replication, and automating failover, backups, and recovery with a declarative operator model. March 6 at 11:15 to 12:15 PT: hubs.la/Q045FXyv0 More on the ops side of PostgreSQL in his book (use code scale23x for 45%off — good through 3/22): hubs.la/Q045FYry0
