We just released our preprint scirate.com/arxiv/2505.029… on arbitrary code distance fermion-to-qubit encodings! Almost all previous fermionic encodings have a fixed distance but we give a strategy to arbitrarily grow their distance and use it for Verstraete-Cirac and others.

Excited to share our new work on solving time-dependent PDEs with MPS! We introduce a new method for approximating functionals of derivatives. Paired with the split-step method, it efficiently tackles evolution problems in levitodynamics. arxiv.org/abs/2409.02916

If I'd had my way the title of arxiv.org/abs/2408.12739 would have been this meme. Our case study found that in all cases where QCNNs work (i.e. train and generalize) - they're possible to classically simulate. We set it as a challenge to the community to prove us wrong.

It is a privileged place for doing quantum computing. It has been extremely intense both in a scientific and social sense. The organizers really work hard for the students to have a good time and to feel included.

This year’s QC Summer School at Los Alamos comes to an end. Leaving feels a bit like the first days of summer in Hogwarts, when everyone packs their things after having intense adventures in a unique place. If you ever have the opportunity to apply, don’t doubt it for a second.
