Paying creators to pump your product is not a distribution strategy. It is a seeding strategy. It may be reproducible but it is not scalable. You are dead on arrival until you figure out how each new user brings in an additional user.

Large company's asset is distribution. Small company's asset is speed of product delivery. Partnerships only work when both can profit. That means putting great product into an existing channel. Hard to make anything else work.

@ManuelSodeinde @tuanpmhd @_buildspace @writeens I am currently debating about the same. I think contributions could be a great measure but it is easy to fake them. Stars could be faked too. I think github is not ready to it. Maybe create some kind of algorithm with some metrics... did you know about gitguardian?
