@KlasfeldReports I noticed when asked if any files were not released yet, Blanche stated only those that were "not responsive." Here's what that means and it only raises more questions.

Federal law, court orders, and privacy protections for victims and witnesses do not allow us to release millions of unredacted documents, regardless of any deadline set by NMDOJ. We will continue to follow federal law and the court orders that are in place. To capitulate to their demands would be to break federal law. Is that what the NM AG is suggesting?

@MeidasClips Hi Katie. You can use my name. I am "the guy" that got the letter from DOJ denying my FOIA and saying I should just look at the DOJ Epstein website. Have you seen the 4 PDF reports I published with my analysis? Would love to chat

Phang: The DOJ in this case was trying to make a claim that I should just be chasing down this information via FOIA. "Oh, Ms. Fang needs to go and get this via FOIA." But when we filed our reply, we made it clear that FOIA has very specific limitations that would prevent a lot of this information in the Epstein files from coming out. So then we got our hands on a response from the DOJ. It was a letter sent to a gentleman who had filed his own FOIA request seeking information from the DOJ pursuant to FOIA regarding Ghislaine Maxwell and Todd Blanche. And what did the DOJ say? "Oh, you don't have to get it through FOIA. The Epstein Files Transparency Act is available for you." So the DOJ's been talking out of both sides of its mouth.
