@Grand_Marquee @travbryanmusic if you have youre retained players from your championship team AND you draft well in the 2nd round (which it seems like the team has with Nickel & Kayil) those other factors don’t matter so much because you have depth to overcome no mid season moves for a season.

@MarcBTheGod @travbryanmusic No it’s not lmao it’s not being able to use any exceptions such as mid level, we wouldn’t be able to sign players bought out mid season, their would be a hard cap on any trades we make and there would be trade restrictions on our draft picks

@CliffNyk reports were out there that Rose wanted to go into the 2nd apron for 2 years to give your championship squad 2 more chances before dipping back under. that’s when JBs extension would start

Brunson extension will start 28-29 season. which could have given you 2 more years to run it back with the same team plus young cheap draft picks before they dip below the 2nd apron again

@CliffNyk like i said, i think owners are cheap lol because staying in the apron for 2 years is literally about money. the 2nd year repeater tax is rough. but retaining your guys shouldn’t be an issue. OKC is offloading guys now because they got extensions kicking in

Dolan literally said he won’t sign a check for the 2nd apron. 1 year over the apron means freezing your 1st rounder 7 years from now. its literally about not wanting to pay extra tax $. follow any capologist and they’ll tell you the same thing
