Selon cette éditrice du National Post, bien prononcer square est a little ridiculous. Square est un mot français, prononcé «skwar», qui vient du vieux français esquarre. Square, en anglais prononcé «skwear», est emprunté du français comme tant d'autres mots de cette langue.

Deux enfants sont kidnappés et ce dont on parle le plus c’est de la maudite alerte Amber. Deux pilotes canadiens sont décédés dans un accident d’avion et ce dont on parle le plus c’est que le PDG d’Air Canada ne parle pas français. Aurions nous perdu notre sens des priorités?🤔

It's crazy the cultural divide between Quebec and the ROC. I don't see how it is controversial that the CEO should at least say a few french words of condolences for a French speaking pilot who died. It's strange that some people don't see why this might be upsetting.

@MarcChoze @redroomrantings I agree with you. Everyone trying to make political hay on this issue including PM Mark Carney is being extremely disrespectful to the families and the memories of two dead air canada pilots. Shame on all of them.

@MarcChoze @redroomrantings Of course, when you first heard him speak you were not considering the death of the pilots or the families. You were considering a long standing issue that pre-dated the death of the pilots. This is simply Quebecor's not happy that air canada has an anglohpone CEO.
