The rain may have stopped (for now) but the work of our operations teams continues. Recent #flooding has resulted in a large number of blockages on our rivers. We're working to remove them to reduce the risk from any future #floods Like here at the Old Wye Bridge in #Hereford

Pumping operation continues at Alney Island #Gloucestershire. Water that has impacted the local community has now been pumped out. The continued operation here is now ensuring that whilst main river level remains high no further water returns back into the residential area.

We’ve seen the water level peaks at our key gauging locations pass, but still a lot of water in the catchments making its way through - hence why there’s still #Flood warnings and alerts out. Keep up to date 👉 check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk

#River #Severn at Montford, #Shropshire is first site measured today. Still 300 cumecs passing through here as river slowly falls & water moves through system. Great to meet @SJackaman for a chat too & learn about how she deals so well with living next to the Severn.
